Modder LukeYui Adds Duo Support to Elden Ring Nightreign on PC

You knew it was only a matter of time, but damn that was quick

Elden Ring Nightreign_ 2 player Mod - Yui

Update: It was only this morning when we reported on this new Seamless Co-op mod for Elden Ring Nightreign that would duo support into the game, but LukeYui works fast, and the mod is already live. We plan on taking the mod for a spin later on today to see how it affects the game, especially since this mod does have any sort of balancing added to. We’ll report back on what we think about this mod over the weekend.

For now, head over to Nexusmods to download the Seamless Co-op mod for Nightreign.

While Elden Ring Nightreign has only just come out, one of the big questions going in was why FromSoftware didn’t implement a way for just two players to team up, instead of locking the experience to trios. It’s a bummer for a lot of people, but thankfully, one Elden Ring modder is stepping in to fix that — assuming you’re playing on PC.

The Dark Souls/Elden Ring modder known as LukeYui — best known for creating Seamless Co-op for Dark Souls Remastered, Dark Souls III, Armored Core 6, and Elden Ring — has revealed that a mod allowing duos in Elden Ring Nightreign is already in the works. And while it’s still early, Yui has shared a brief look at the mod in action.

Check it out in the video below.

Now, keep in mind this is for PC only. The mod runs without connecting to FromSoftware’s matchmaking servers and bypasses the game’s anti-cheat. That means it’ll also support other mods alongside it — something a lot of players are going to appreciate.

You gotta hand it to Yui, stepping up and answering the call to make Elden Ring Nightreign more accessible, doing what FromSoftware should’ve done from the start, in my opinion.

And if you want to give back to Yui for all the amazing work that that has done in the past and his upcoming work, then consider buying him a coffee over at KoFi, and check out the other projects over at Nexusmods.

Elden Ring Nightreign is now available on PlayStation 4|5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC (Steam). Be sure to check out our full review, where we call it an enjoyable experience held back by a few odd design choices. Still, if you’re a fan of Elden Ring, you’ll feel right at home.
