Mekakushe’s Watashi Dake no Polaris Now Streaming

By Josh PiedraMay 23, 2025

Singer/songwriter mekakushe’s song “Watashi Dake no Polaris” (My One and Only Polaris), which was used in Episode 7 of the TV anime series Kowloon Generic Romance, was released online on May 18.

Watashi Dake no Polaris

The super-popular mystery/romance series is based on Jun Mayuzuki (of After the Rain fame)’s latest work, which has sold more than 1.4 million copies.

Following in the footsteps of the ending theme, “Koi no Retronym” (Retronym of Love), mekakushe and Ryohei Sakata (Hifumi Inc.) have created a light and lively rhythm that almost seems to skip along. The end result is a vibrant, heartfelt pop number that’s bursting with colorful stars.
