Special Nintendo Switch 2 Launch Events Happening At Key Nintendo Stores

If you're nearby, you'll want to partake!

Nintendo Switch 2

I made a joke recently on the Nintendo Entertainment Podcast that I wasn’t sure if the Nintendo Store that just opened in San Francisco would have Switch 2 units at launch. It felt likely that they would, but you never know, especially with how pre-orders have been since they went live. However, The Big N seems to have dispelled that fear in a unique way, by revealing on Twitter that the San Francisco and New York Nintendo Stores would host special Nintendo Switch 2 launch events. So, if you’re in the area, you’ll want to partake.

As you’ll see below, the events take place early in the afternoon, and likely will continue until the launch of the Nintendo Switch 2 itself later that night.

You're invited! ✉️

Join us in celebrating the launch of #NintendoSwitch2 with events at Nintendo SAN FRANCISCO & Nintendo NEW YORK on June 4! Entry to each event is first come, first served. Events begin at 1pm PT in San Francisco, and 3pm ET in New York. pic.twitter.com/s7JGA0TviP

The reason I think this confirms that both stores will at least have SOME Switch 2 units on hand is that fans wouldn’t likely go there unless they either already had one locked down, or they felt they could get one from the store. Plus, Nintendo KNOWS that fans will likely ask if the store has them upon arrival, hence the “first come, first served” for entry.

Given that this is the launch of a new console, it makes sense that Nintendo would go all out for it, and we hope those who do get to attend have a fun time.
