Is Red Dead Redemption 2 Coming To The Nintendo Switch 2?

Saddle Up!
By Todd BlackMay 16, 2025
Red Dead Redemption II, Red Dead Redemption 2, Nintendo Switch 2

While many, including myself, are eagerly awaiting the third-party exclusive titles that developers and publishers will inevitably bring to the Nintendo Switch 2, we must also look forward to certain titles gracing the new console that have been out for a while. We already know a plethora of them from various teams, but a new report from GameReactor says that some big announcements are still on the way. One such announcement might be that Rockstar Games is bringing Red Dead Redemption 2 to the Nintendo platform. Curious, this was a rumor BEFORE the full Switch reveal in April, and now, the rumor is circulating even more strongly.

Why is that? That would be because the title is apparently getting a “next-gen update” for the PS5 and Xbox Series X/S. Thus, sources say that to accentuate that, Rockstar will bring Red Dead Redemption 2 to the Nintendo Switch 2. Thus, all the modern consoles can play it in its “best form.”

While these “sources” are said to be close to the Rockstar Games crew, you must take this with a grain of salt until it’s revealed by Nintendo. That being said, Rockstar’s publisher, Take-Two, has already made their support of the Switch 2 known, and this could merely be the next game they put on the system.
