Ever since Blizzard Entertainment unveiled the 2025 road map for World of Warcraft: The War Within, fans were able to notice and figure out a peculiar icon on the roadmap that suggested that World of Warcraft’s Legion expansion will get the REMIX treatment like Mists of Pandaria did last year.
Today at PAX East, Blizzard confirmed everyone’s theory by officially announcing Legion REMIX. As of right now, there is no official date for Legion REMIX. The previous icon on The War Within Roadmap that suggested it would come late autumn/early winter turned out to be the new Player Housing feature for World of Warcraft’s upcoming expansion set, Midnight.
Mists of Pandaria REMIX served as a bridge between Dragonflight and The War Within, so it is expected that Legion REMIX will serve in the same way.
Blizzard announced new features for this REMIX which include:
Mythic+ Dungeons: The Legion expansion was the one that launched the Mythic+ dungeon system and they will be fully available to play in REMIX.
Shattered Timeline: Due to REMIX having a more closed system, the development team is experimenting with a new increased difficulty World Tier that is inspired by Diablo claiming that it will challenge open world players in new and exciting ways as everything went worse than it originally did in Legion.
