Hey, all you controller collector freaks—just like myself! Are you ready for yet another limited edition controller? If the answer is yes, great. And if you said no… well, too bad. Today, PlayStation revealed the Death Stranding 2: On the Beach Limited Edition DualSense controller for PlayStation 5 (and PC).
Now, get ready for that sticker shock: the controller is priced at $84.99. Pre-orders will begin on May 22, 2025, at 7 AM PST / 10 AM EST, and it’ll be available on both the PlayStation Direct website and select retailers.
According to PlayStation, they worked closely with Kojima Productions on the design—a black base, customized with the insignia and motto of Drawbridge in vibrant orange. To be honest, it’s not PlayStation’s best-looking controller, and no one can convince me that the Astro Bot controller—or maybe the 30th Anniversary controller—aren’t the best ones released in recent memory.
Of course, since this is a limited edition, once they’re gone, they’re gone. So be sure to jump on this if you want one for your collection. It is a bit odd that the controller isn’t launching alongside the game itself, which is releasing on June 26, 2025.
