Key Art Asassin's Creed Shadows

If you’ve read our review of Assassin’s Creed Shadows, you’ll know I loved the game. I still find myself playing it regularly and have been eagerly awaiting news about additional content.

Today, Ubisoft announced a full year of planned updates for Assassin’s Creed Shadows. We already knew about The Claws of Awaji—a paid expansion coming later in 2025—but if you’re not interested in paying for DLC, don’t worry. There will be plenty of free content available for all players.

As you can see in the trailer above, there are a lot of updates coming—most of which are free for all players. From special collaboration events and parkour improvements to new story quests and more, one thing is clear: Ubisoft has been paying close attention to player feedback and is committed to making Assassin’s Creed Shadows the best it can be for the long haul.

And if you don’t want to watch the trailer, here’s what’s in store for Assassin’s Creed Shadows players.

Jordan has been playing games since the age of six. This ignited a passion which initially led him towards game development before trying his hand in the realm of games media, starting in 2022. It turns out he's quite good at it, even if he doesn't always believe in himself. Now, just a few short years later, not only is Jordan a valued member of our staff here at The Outerhaven, but he also co-owns and helps to run Analog Stick Gaming.
