Dotemu and The Game Kitchen (Blasphemous 1 & 2) have released a brand-new gameplay trailer for NINJA GAIDEN: Ragebound, unveiling Kumori, a deadly new protagonist and member of the infamous Black Spider Clan.

Enter Kumori: a cunning, rule-breaking warrior who channels high-tech weapons and forbidden demonic powers to accomplish her mission. Her brutal combat style stands in stark contrast to that of Kenji Mozu, a rising star of the Hayabusa Clan and the game’s other playable protagonist. Together, the two must form an uneasy alliance, navigating centuries-old clan rivalries and tapping into their shared “Ninja Fusion” power to face the monstrous forces threatening their world. **Insert Vanilla Ice’s Go Ninja Go**

Check out the trailer here.

Inspired by the classic and modern NINJA GAIDEN trilogies, Ragebound picks up right after the events of the original NES title. With the boundary between the human and demon worlds shattered, chaos reigns—and it’s up to a new generation of ninjas to restore the balance.

Fans of the original series will appreciate the game’s lush pixel art style, which pays homage to NINJA GAIDEN’s 2D roots while delivering rich detail and fluid animation. Accompanied by a pulse-pounding soundtrack featuring guest composers, NINJA GAIDEN: Ragebound looks to deliver a fresh yet faithful take on one of action gaming’s most revered franchises.

NINJA GAIDEN: Ragebound is a 2D sidescrolling action-platformer—developed in partnership with KOEI TECMO GAMES—launches in Summer 2025 for PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch, and PC.
