Our Last Crusade or the Rise of a New World resumed broadcast April 10 after production issues caused a lengthy delay one month into its second season.
The second season was greenlit in October 2021 and scheduled for a Summer 2023 release before ultimately being delayed to Summer 2024. Four episodes into the new season, production staff announced that the series would be delayed indefinitely to maintain the quality of the production.
On March 7, staff announced that the series would rebroadcast the first four episodes of the second season beginning April 10 before airing the previously unreleased episodes beginning May 8.
The anime follows the relationship between a knight of the scientifically advanced kingdom and the Princess of a rival nation of witches. The anime is based on the light novel series from Kei Sazane and Ao Nekonabe, which had its 16th volume published in October 2024.
