Is A Stockpile Of Nintendo Switch 2 Systems Being Amassed In The United States?

Thinking ahead to save time and effort?

Hideki Kamiya, Nintendo Switch 2

The last week of gaming news has been the embodiment of “CHAOS!!!!!” After all, we had the huge reveal of the Nintendo Switch 2 and some of the games that would be on it, and that led to plenty of back-and-forth from all sorts of people about what would and wouldn’t be at launch, what the prices really meant, and more. Then, just days later, politics decided to get involved, and all of a sudden, the US pre-orders weren’t happening, and other countries soon got hit with that, too. Every day has brought something new on this front, and today is no different.

You see, Bloomberg did some digging into what Nintendo is planning for the US launch of the Switch 2, and it revealed that the company might be stockpiling systems in the United States so that it has potentially millions ready at launch. Even more specifically, they’re bringing in as many as possible from Vietnam:

“One of three main Switch 2 assemblers shipped more devices in February to the US from Vietnam than in the previous six months combined.”

So, yeah, that’s interesting, especially with the current tariff situation. It’s smart for them to have the Nintendo Switch 2 in good numbers in the US and globally at launch because they know that people want them. The only question is, “How many will be ready and available on June 5th and soon after?”
