Trailmakers: Pioneers

Indie gaming is a key part of the gaming space, and for many, it lets them truly make the games they want to make and see how far they can push gameplay, which is exactly why we’re talking about Trailmakers: Pioneers today! You might remember the OG version of Trailmakers came out in 2019 on Steam, where it’s gotten over 22,000 reviews and five million players. Now, the team at Flashbulb Games is set to take things to the next level with their 2.0 upgrade, which will add much more to the title.

“Developed from veteran talent of Press Play, CCP Games, IO Interactive, and Rare, Trailmakers has amassed 5 million+ players since its launch. Trailmakers: Pioneers is a massive overhaul, adding game modes, survival-based gameplay, and a story.

Creativity is at the core of Trailmakers and the Pioneers update elevates player freedom with additional resources and tools. You can already see some of the wild stuff players are doing, like making Battle Droids or having intense aerial combat.”

The main game features players being stranded on a planet and building whatever they want to survive and have fun with other players. The “modular building system” allows for freedom to build your imagination’s greatest or wildest ideas, even if it’s just making a car to race in various sandboxes. So, with the Trailmakers: Pioneers update coming, you can imagine just how much more you’ll be able to do when it drops on March 6th.

The main game is available on Steam and can even be played on the Steam Deck.
