Lies of P: Overture Story Trailer Revealed During ID@Xbox Event

During the February 2025 State of Play, Neowiz officially revealed the name of the upcoming DLC for the sensational Soulslike Lies of P, called Lies of P: Overture. While this trailer gave us lots of gameplay, the recent trailer released during today’s ID@Xbox event provided a bit more story context for this upcoming DLC.

Check out the trailer below.

For those who have beaten Lies of P, you may have noticed that the person standing next to Carlo in the Overture trailer is the same one who taught Carlo, and Romeo, but also knew who Gemini was. We encountered this figure multiple times through the memories on the beach of Alchemist’s Isle. Their outfit, along with the sword and distinctive plume, makes it clear they are the same person.

This aligns with events from the first game. When Carlo was found dead, this individual expressed regret, saying they were too late and wished they had arrived sooner. In the new trailer, a similar sentiment is echoed with the line, “She never got to say farewell.”

As for their identity, I’ve always suspected they might be Antonia—the older woman from Hotel Krat. Though she is much older in Lies of P, she clearly knew Carlo and mentioned being fearless in her younger days. And per this DLC, we will encounter a legendary stalker, but what if this is the same person? If this theory is correct, well that would explain a lot.

Not to mention that the music being played in this trailer is very familiar to that of Memory of Beach, one of the albums you could collect in Lies of P. Or maybe it’s just a coincidence and I’m reaching a tad bit.

Regardless, I’m incredibly excited for Lies of P: Overture! I played through the first game multiple times and loved every bit of it. Hopefully, the DLC will be just as incredible.

As for its release, we only have a Summer 2025 release window for now. When Lies of P: Overture launches, it will be available on PS4, PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC (Steam).
