Guilty Gear Strive Switch Edition Launch Trailer Released

By Kevin KellyJanuary 27, 2025
Guilty Gear Nintendo Switch Edition

On the heels of the announcement of the Dual Rulers anime release date, Arc System Works released a Guilty Gear Switch Edition trailer yesterday. Guilty Gear Strive brings the series back to handhelds since the anniversary edition of the Guilty Gear franchise.

While the rollback netcode is in place, crossplay will not be available at the time of this writing. No word on Team of 3 being available for Switch with a separate timeline, but this mode is forthcoming to other platforms. Crossplay was not implemented back during the launch in 2021, but thanks to Arc System Works, this was enabled later down the road nearing Year 2. There might still be hope for Switch users.

All 28 current characters will be available, at launch, including Queen Dizzy – which is a Season 4 DLC character. Dizzy herself is a hybrid zoner with pushback style combat with freezing abilities.  Don’t let those heels fool you.

Additional characters will be still coming the usual way post Dizzy such as Venom and Lucy which are still due this year. The news of all 28 current playable characters being available, without the need to get DLCs separately, is still a great move. There are plenty of arcade sticks and controllers available to be used on the system as we speak.

Along with the new news, most features are still intact such as the Digital Figure mode for screenshots and as much random poses as one can make with Bedman and Sol Badguy. The mode will be there with an a needed update. Guilty Gear Nintendo Switch Edition
