Singer-songwriter milet, who made a notable appearance in the Tokyo 2020 Olympic closing ceremony in August 2021, and in 2023, she collaborated with MAN WITH A MISSION on the theme songs for the anime Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba – Swordsmith Village Arc, which garnered a lot of attention. She also provided the ending theme for the anime series Frieren: Beyond Journey’s End. Last year, in 2024, her song hanataba became a big hit and led her to win the Best Vocal Performance Award at the 66th Japan Record Awards and continues to achieve great success.
milet’s latest song “I still” is coming out on January 31, following by the full single “I still / Nobody Knows” including another song “Nobody Knows” releasing on February 26! The songs are written specifically for the movie My Beloved Stranger, which milet plays the female leading role for the very first time!
My Beloved Stranger features milet in the lead role alongside actor Kento Nakajima and director Takahiro Miki. The movie will be in theaters in Japan on February 28. As part of the film’s theme song / in-film song, she has written the song “I still / Nobody Knows,” which full single will be released on February 26. Theme song “I still” and in-film song “Nobody Knows” are ballad styled love songs which perfectly showcases milet’s unique and mellow singing voice.
Prior to the full single release, the song “I still” will be digitally out on January 31.
