Whereas the first half of the month was rather quiet for Xbox Game Pass additions, the second half of the month brings more anticipated fare with Eternal Strands and the sequel to an indie hit, Citizen Sleeper 2: Starward Vector. Also, Rebellion’s Sniper Elite: Resistance and Orcs Must Die! Deathtrap.
Eternal Strands is a fantasy action game where you play as a weaver named Brynn who is tasked with defending her home from towering monsters. Using her magical abilities players can use them to manipulate the environment to their whims. For instance a tree can be used to block a Dragon’s fire attack or use that same fire attack to engulf the tree in flames and then send it flying against an ice combatant. Eternal Strands promises to be a game full of excitement in combat and exploration and gamers can enjoy it soon when it hits Cloud, Xbox Game Pass Ultimate and PC Game Pass on January 28.
At the other end of the spectrum lies the latest installment in the Sniper Elite series, Sniper Elite: Resistance which sees Harry Hawker became the main protagonist as he infiltrates enemy lines in occupied France and fights alongside the French against the Nazi’s. Use the sniping tactics he has available to take out the enemy and watch them using the visceral kill cam, which makes it return as well. Xbox Game Pass subscribers will be able to Snipe away on Day 1 when Sniper Elite: Resistance releases on January 30 on Xbox Game Pass Ultimate and PC Game Pass.
