After debuting on consoles in October, 8-Bit Adventures 2 – a story-rich tribute to the Golden Age of JRPGs – is launching major Free DLC on January 15th, as a ‘thank you’ to players. This new content is an automatic, completely free update for all players, adding a brand new post-game dungeon accessible after finishing the main story.
Meanwhile, anyone who hasn’t picked up the game can get the PC version for 50% off via a Steam Daily Deal, or pre-order the new physical editions from Limited Run Games!
About the Free DLC
Players must hunt powerful super bosses through a huge, open dungeon, in order to save the life of a beloved party member and uncover the mysteries of the Sandman – a decaying wizard with ancient ties to the villainous Glitch. Players have requested more challenging encounters, so this new content delivers the hardest, and most creative, battles in the game!
But it’s not just dungeon-crawling; this update adds a new town, the ability for players to upgrade their ultimate equipment, four new music tracks, and a rich story which builds on the core game’s ending.
- New Post-Game Dungeon with 50+ rooms to explore in any order and nine unique regions – including a Prison, Swamp, Desert, and Hotel!
