Virtua Fighter 5 R.E.V.O.’s pool has doubled from 128 to 256 players at the Frosty Faustings XVII Tournament on January 25, 2025 in Lombard, Illonois. The prize pool has also doubled to $2000 USD. All participants will be getting their very own t-shirts to commemorate the tournament.
The R.E.V.O. build will be the one being used, which is also the 2.0 update for the game on PlayStation 4/5. With the announcements, it seems as though the tournament has filled up immensely and this is Sega allowing more to compete in the full-day run.

With R.E.V.O. appearing at the near end of the month, and Ultimate Showdown 2.0 already available, as well as the changelogs, ramping up will be easier for competitors to do. All this post the announcement of the New Virtua Fighter Project has hyped fans up. More details on the dedicated Virtua Fighter League are forthcoming. Virtua Fighter 5 R.E.V.O. will be launched on January 27th.
