Xenoblade Chronicles X Definitive Edition Trailer Welcomes You To Mira

By Todd BlackJanuary 9, 2025
Xenoblade Chronicles X Definitive Edition

My personal hype for Xenoblade Chronicles X Definitive Edition continues to grow, and Nintendo seems to know that my fellow XCX loyalists and I are eagerly awaiting the game’s arrival on Nintendo Switch. To that end, today, the company dropped a new trailer for the upgraded port, showing off not only the visual improvements of the title but the additional story content that’ll be attached to it. For those who haven’t played the original Wii U version, you’ll definitely want to check this out to see what the game is like and how different it is from the “mainline canon.”

Ready to explore Planet Mira? Learn about the Ganglion alien threat, see Skells you can pilot and fight with, and take a quick peek at some newly added content in #XenobladeChroniclesX: Definitive Edition, coming to #NintendoSwitch on 3/20.

The game feels even more beautiful than it did on the Wii U, and it was pretty slick on the Wii U! Furthermore, as I’ve ranted about multiple times on the Nintendo Entertainment Podcast, the extra story content for Xenoblade Chronicles X Definitive Edition might be the way to “close the loop” on the massive cliffhanger the RPG dropped back in 2015. Or it could lead to an X-2 sequel! I’m fine with either option!
