Death Battle Puts Thieves Against Gang-Stars In Joker vs Giorno!

By Todd BlackOctober 27, 2024
Joker vs Giorno

If I haven’t made it clear yet: WE ARE SO BACK! Or, more accurately, Death Battle is back, and today marked the 2nd episode of its 2024 run (which is four episodes, as promised by the Kickstarter). Today saw a highly desired matchup as it was Joker vs Giorno! This matchup was fascinating because Joker is one of the more OP protagonists in Persona history, especially with all his spinoff titles, while Giorno (son of Dio) had one of the most broken Stands in all of Jojo’s Bizarre Adventure. In other words…who was more OP here?

While I obviously won’t spoil it, I will say that Joker vs Giorno makes use of numerous animation styles to help sell its fun fight, and its battle track “Requiem For A Thief” (performed by Saoirse) feels like the perfect blend of Persona and Jojo stylings. So, check out Joker vs Giorno below!

As for next time…we’re getting an army war in Death Battle with Bowser vs. Eggman! Oh, and if you haven’t yet, check out my new Top 10 list of best Death Battle episodes!
