Sega’s Rebooted Shinobi Gameplay Shown and it Looks Amazing

In December 2023, Sega announced it would rebooting several of its classic titles. These titles include Crazy Taxi, Jet Set Radio, Streets of Rage, Golden Axe, and Shinobi, of which gameplay has been recently revealed. Recently, Twitter user Ryan from the Bronx posted a short video that shows off this rebooted Shinobi title, and even though this is early on, it looks good.

As for why the game is looking so good could be due to Lizardcube working on the title. Lizardcube is responsible for several titles, including Wonder Boy: The Dragon’s Trap, and more recently, Streets of Rage 4. Ironically enough, Lizcube hints that they are working on a new game, but doesn’t tell us what it is on its website.

Like what many of the people in the comments for this video have stated, this does give off that Shinobi 3 vibe, which is very good considering that many, myself included, consider Shinobi 3: The Return of the Ninja Master, one of the best… if not the best in the Sega’s Shinobi’s series.

There’s no release date on when we can expect this Shinbo title or any of the other rebooted Sega classic games. But I do know I can’t wait to see what the Sega x Lizardcube collab brings us. If this is anything like Streets of Rage 4, we’re all in for an amazing surprise.
