Marvel-Packed Absolute Doom Fortnite Season and Disney Crossovers Revealed

The D23 Expo this year had some exciting news for Fortnite, and it largely delivered on the hype. During the event, Fortnite Chapter 5, Season 4, titled Absolute Doom, which is heavily centered around Disney and Marvel characters, was revealed.

This new season will include characters including Doctor Doom, a Captain America-themed Jonesy, a Peely Wolverine, War Machine, Mysertio, Black Panther, and Gwenpool, who’s doing her best Iron Man impression, in action. We will get to see  Emma Frost/White Queen who looks to be playable based on the Absolute Doom image, but she wasn’t one of the ways we got to see her in action.

Though, while Jonesy gets to toss around Cap’s shield, Peely is still using guns – which is something you don’t see Wolverine doing very much. Hopefully, he does get to use his claws in-game. It’s worth noting that these characters will be unlocked via the battle pass, except Gwenpool, who’ll be an instant unlock.

Check out the trailer below.

The event also revealed that several upcoming crossover events involving various Disney properties, including Disney Villains, The Incredibles, Star Wars, and new X-Men skins will also make their way to Fortnite. What was curious is that there was no official date for when Absolute Doom would become available.

While Disney and Epic Games were quiet on when this new season would become available, the official Fortnite Twitter account spilled the beans, stating that fans of Fortnite, Disney, and Marvel can expect Chapter 5, Season 4 to launch as of August 16, 2024.

It’s time for the heroes’ journey. And the enemies’ Absolute Doom.

So there you go, more Disney-loving is coming to Fortnite. Now, when can we get some more Tron added to Fortnite?
