First Look At Marvel’s Captain America: Brave New World Trailer

By Keith MitchellJuly 12, 2024
Marvels Captain America Brave New World Official Trailer 1

Here we go, MCU fans! The first look at Marvel’s Captain America: Brave New World trailer dropped on Friday, July 17, 2024. With everything that’s been happening in this new phase of the MCU, this movie is the one I’m most excited to see, and it’s not just because I’m a fan of Captain America.

In this trailer, we pick up with Sam Wilson becoming Captain America during the Disney Plus show, The Falcon and the Winter Soldier. Thaddeus Thunderbolt Ross is now the President of the United States. In the opening, Sam visits Thaddeus, who wants Captain America to be an official part of the USA Military. They tried this in the past, but things didn’t work out. When Sam questions Thaddeus, it ultimately leads to a tense moment, hinting at a larger threat forcing them to work together.

Following this, during a speech by Thaddeus, he is attacked by none other than Isaiah Bradley, the first super soldier created by the government. We don’t know why, but my money is on mind control. Likely, he was experimented on and turned into a sleeper agent like Bucky/The Winter Soldier. Sam tells Thaddeus that his inner circle is compromised, and that’s when things hit the fan. We get lots of short clips from the movie, including a look at the redesigned Captain America suit.

Then it gets interesting. As the trailer fades to black, Thaddeus tells Sam, “He’s not Steve Rogers.” Following some high-flying antics, we hear Sam reply, “You’re right… I’m not.” The movie logo appears, and we hear a distinctive sound. I jumped from my seat because I knew what it was—the roar of a Hulk. But not just any Hulk, the Red Hulk.

For those who read Marvel’s comic books, you’ll know that Thaddeus was turned into the Red Hulk and was sent to take out Hulk/Bruce Banner. That never happened, and Red Hulk ended up being an ally and made a place in the Marvel universe.Captain America_ Brave New World _ Official Teaser _ In Theaters February 14, 2025 1-44 screenshot (1)Captain America_ Brave New World _ Official Teaser _ In Theaters February 14, 2025 1-44 screenshot

In the final seconds of the trailer, we see Red Hulk catching Captain America’s shield with one hand and throwing it to the ground. So, are we going to see a fight between Cap and Red Hulk? Or is there something else going on we just don’t know about yet?

Marvel Studios’ Captain America: Brave New World will be released in theaters on February 14, 2025.
