Nintendo Actually Gained Employees Over The Last Fiscal Year

Simply. The. Greatest.

Nintendo

Last month revealed a lot of things about Nintendo thanks to its fiscal year summary that it dropped on people. We learned about how the Switch games for 2024 have been doing very well, that The Big N had a record net profit year, and that we have a Direct coming sometime this month. However, there was apparently more to find within the briefing if you knew where to look…

Specifically, insider Stealth revealed that unlike MANY companies in the last year or so, including Microsoft and Sony, Nintendo actually GAINED employees! They have 400 more now than they did last fiscal year!

Reading the Nintendo Shareholder Meeting Summary, there is some interesting information in there.

Nintendo currently has 7,724 employees and grew 400+ employees over the last fiscal year.

This matters for an incredibly basic reason: it means that The Big N didn’t just do great money-wise, but they were able to grow their business in meaningful ways. That’s a huge difference from other companies that had to lay off people left and right, shut down businesses, or go through serious restructuring. This is why many consider Nintendo the torch bearer for the industry. After all, they know how to get stuff done, unlike others.
