Splatoon 3 Might Be Teasing Its End

The Summer Nights To Be Last We Celebrate?
By Todd BlackMay 29, 2024
Splatoon 3 Review, Xenoblade Chronicles, Splatfest

When it comes to multiplayer titles, it’s inevitable that they’re going to stop getting content eventually. For Splatoon 3, many hoped that Nintendo might keep going, especially since a 4th title likely wouldn’t appear until the arrival of the Switch 2. However, today, not long after they announced the “Summer Nights” event, a special video showing off the upcoming Sizzle Season catalog dropped. That wouldn’t usually be cause for concern, until people started looking into the catalog itself.

If you go to :42 below, you’ll see #96, which says “Thank you for playing.”

Here’s a peek at the upcoming Sizzle Season 2024 catalog!

New items featuring the uniquely diverse flavors of the Splatlands will be freshening up wardrobes soon. And of course new emotes, decorations, and stickers are also on the way. pic.twitter.com/2Haf8UdsPD

Yeah…that seems to indicate that Splatoon 3 will start wrapping up its content soon. It won’t be immediate based on the fact that we haven’t had the “final Splatfest” yet, nor the “BIG Big Run” that was already confirmed to be coming. Still, it’s a somber moment knowing that there won’t be Splatfests to talk about for a while or wondering what new fashion items we can put on our characters.
