Guilty Gear Strive: Slayer Gameplay Trailer

By Kevin KellyApril 29, 2024

With everyone bearing gifts to the Evo Japan 2024 scene, Arc System Works decided to bring something, also. Slayer is coming to Guilty Gear Strive as a DLC for Season 3. Continuing his run since GGXX, the Laidback and Dignified Gentleman isn’t pulling punches or fangs against his foes. How Slayer will fare against Nagoriyuki for the spot for best vampire in the game is up to the players. Sol Badguy seems to be getting his life sucked out of him in this gameplay video.

Slayer’s toolkit is usually close range. Once you’re in, you’re in. Slayer’s dash is pretty dangerous because of its’ ability to act as a teleport. Slayer’s kit’s variances make it hard to predict as to what will happen once he gets his distance. Slayer’s a high tier character, and now, it’s to a point where one of his moves rips his own clothes off. I kid you not.

Hopefully, Slayer will make it home to his darling wife Sharon after a bout. He seems to want to do that alot here.

Slayer will return to the meyhem on May 30th, rounding out the Season 3 DLC roster. Season 4 is also teased by Arc System Works. A new stage called “Amberfest with Kind Neighbours” will also be available in the patch. Additional colors will also be available for the characters. A balance patch will be forthcoming.
