X-Men From The Ashes Comic Line Revealed By Marvel

By Todd BlackMarch 14, 2024
X-Men From The Ashes

It might have taken me 18 years to get into comics, but once I did, I made sure to get books featuring my favorite characters and teams, and the X-Men were definitely on that list. Ever since, I’ve been faithfully reading their books, and the “Age of Krakoa” has been a fascinating look at what the Mutants can do when united, and how far humanity will go to lay them low. Right now, Marvel is bringing the Krakoan Age to an end, but soon, X-Men From The Ashes will arrive!

This rebirth will see three different comics focusing on three different X-Men teams in three different locations. The goal is to spread out the Mutants and have them focusing on different things and adapting to the “new world” they’re in after the fallout from the Krakoa storyline:

“The X-Men are fractured in the aftermath of the end of Krakoa, scattered across the globe without a central base of operation,” Marvel Comics VP Executive Editor Tom Brevoort revealed after the relaunch was announced. “What that means in practice is that all three titles carrying the name X-MEN are core X-MEN series-they all center around one of the major aspects of what the team has been about at different points. This is very much by design. We want to field a wide assortment of X-titles with different styles and tones and approaches, an X-MEN book for virtually any taste.”

The first three books are going to be Uncanny X-Men, X-Men, and Exceptional X-Men. All three have unique rosters and creative teams to boot.

Here’s the official trailer for the relaunch:

But as the trailer notes, this is a “new beginning,” and that includes how there will be more series to come later in 2024. Here’s a look at some of the titles that will follow this trilogy of series:

📖 | Additional X-Men titles were just announced including 'PHOENIX', 'STORM', 'X-FACTOR', 'WOLVERINE, 'X-FORCE' and 'NYX'.

These titles will serve as an easy entry point to fan-favorite characters. Tom Brevoort says there will be less team books, despite the titles shown. pic.twitter.com/GeKcDQ8j22
