DSTLRY Launches Blasfamous #1 by Mirka Andolfo

By Josh PiedraFebruary 21, 2024

The first issue of BLASFAMOUS, DSTLRY’s music industry horror-comedy series is out today. Written, drawn, and colored by Harvey Award-winning writer and artist Mirka Andolfo (Sweet Paprika, Unnatural, Mercy), the series navigates the thin line between ambition and the haunting consequences of trading one’s essence for the spotlight.

Fans can head to dstlry.co for website-exclusive variant covers by Rachta Lin (Harley Quinn, Catwoman), Laura Braga (Future State: The Next Batman, Purr Evil), and John Timms (Harley Quinn, Young Justice). Readers who own digital DSTLRY copies will have access to purchase Laura Braga’s print cover and John Timms’ digital cover.

In addition to the launch of BLASFAMOUS #1, an exclusive digital copy of THE DEVIL’S CUT, featuring a previously unreleased cover from Elsa Charretier (Love Everlasting, November), is available on dstlry.co now for one week only. DSTLRY’s debut release, THE DEVIL’S CUT features short stories from its founding creators including “A Blessed Day,” Andolfo’s first introduction to the world of BLASFAMOUS. Additional series set to spin out of THE DEVIL’S CUT include the followup to Charretier’s “8 Rules to Make It Out in One Piece.”

BLASFAMOUS is a twisted tale about the price of fame, success, and what it takes to stay on top, presented with mesmerizing visuals.

In a world where pop stars have ascended to divinity and the masses bow in veneration to a new generation of viral superstars, angels and demons revel in a spotlight that grants them unimaginable power. Clelia, the reigning queen of pop, finds her throne shaken by a newcomer radiating with enigmatic charm. As the public eye threatens to wander, Clelia and her demonic agent, Father Lev, are thrust into a battle for dominance on this exhilarating stage of music and mysticism. How far will they go to defend Clelia’s hot streak and unravel the mystery of this sensational threat?

BLASFAMOUS #1 is available today, February 21, in print and digital. Readers can purchase digital copies on dstlry.co from February 21 through February 27.
