New Gameplay Trailer of Flintlock: The Siege of Dawn Looks Impressive

February 21, 2024, marked a significant day for Soulslike enthusiasts, featuring the official unveiling of a certain game and providing an awaited update for another action RPG I’ve been tracking closely, Flintlock: The Siege of Dawn. A44 Games, the title’s developer, unveiled brand-new gameplay footage, which proved to be quite impressive.

The latest trailer offers a glimpse of Flintlock: The Siege of Dawn in action, showcasing the formidable duo of protagonist Nor Vanek and her enigmatic companion Enki. They employ new magical and tactical abilities while facing off against vicious new adversaries in the locale of Wanderer’s Rest. Additionally, the trailer provides a sneak peek at new cosmetics and gear.

Check out the trailer below.

When it comes to Soulslikes, I’m always looking to see what each entry in the genre brings, and Flintlock: The Siege of Dawn is bringing something new and refreshing.

As a fan of Soulslike games, I’m always eager to see what each entry in the genre brings, and Flintlock: The Siege of Dawn appears to offer something fresh and innovative. Unlike conventional Soulslike titles, this game seems to blend elements from Devil May Cry, Elden Ring, and even Mega Man. The combat is swift and employs a combo-style system where the more stylishly you fight, the higher your score, which doubles as currency.

The game boasts an open world that entices players to explore, complete with optional dungeons and hidden areas. Defeating bosses grants you access to their powers, akin to the mechanic in Mega Man. This anticipation is why I’ve been eagerly awaiting hands-on experience with the game, although it has unfortunately faced multiple delays.

Regrettably, a release date for Flintlock: The Siege of Dawn is still elusive. Nevertheless, I hope that A44 Games and Kepler Interactive, the game’s publisher, pay heed to the ongoing release schedule of 2024.
