Ys X: Nordics English Version Heading to Switch, PS4, PS5, and PC

Ys X: Nordics English Version Heading to Switch, PS4, PS5, and PC

NIS America has officially revealed that Ys X: Nordics will be released in English for North America on the PS4, PS5, Nintendo Switch, and PC (Steam) this Fall 2024.

While fans of Ys X: Nordics have been watching at their overseas counterparts enjoying the latest Ys title, Ys X: Nordics (released September 2023), they’ve been pondering when this game would reach the Western shores. They won’t have to ponder anymore, but they will have to wait for the eventual release date.

Ys X: Nordics takes place roughly a month after the events of Ys II: Ancient Ys Vanished: The Final Chapter, with fan-favorite Adol Christin, accompanied by Dogi and Dr. Flair Rall, making their way to Celceta. Ys X: Nordics is set in Obelia Bay, a bay filled with countless islands of all sizes, located north of Ispani and west of Gllia. Here, Adol and company encounter two factions, the “Normans,” seafaring people known for their powerful warriors, and the “Griegers,” mysterious unkillable beings threatening the Obelia Bay people. Along the way, Adol encounters the heroine in the game, Karja Balta, who happens to be a pirate. They must learn to work together to save the people of the gulf from the mysterious immortal monsters known as the Griegr.

NIS America has also mentioned that the PC version of Ys X: Nordics will include a language option for Japanese, which leads me to believe that the consoles might not.
