Palworld – Top 5 Recommended Mounts

Exploration is a big part of Palworld. The map of Palpagos island is huge and to explore every corner you need a capable mount. The game has over 30 mounts, so it can be a little confusing to choose which ones are the best for you. In this article, I’ll thoroughly discuss the best mounts of Palworld.

1. Jetragon

As the name suggests, it is exactly a combination of jet + dragon. With a ride sprint speed of 3300, Jetragon is the fastest mount available in Palworld and is known as the Legendary Celestial Dragon. However, unlocking it and its mounting capabilities are tough as the world boss is level 50, and its mount unlocks at exp level 50. So, the grind is tough, but also worth it.

You can find Jetragon in the volcano area, towards the north of ‘Beach of Everlasting Summer’ fast travel point. Other than being a mount, Jetragon is an extremely powerful pal and can go on head on head with most of the pals in Palworld. The only downside of having Jetragon is that it is XL in size and can get stuck in many places.

2. Frostallian

known as the Legendary Steed of Ice, Frostallian is one of the legends of Palpagos island. It is extremely fast (ride spring speed 1500) but definitely not as fast as Frostallian. It can be used as both a ground mount and a flying mount. But like the other legends, Frostallian is a late-game mount.

You can find Frostallian in the snowy area and the closest fast travel point is ‘The Land of Absolute Zero’. Frostallian is L sized so relatively has better access to most of the areas. One thing to note is that while mounting, your attacks will be Ice-type attacks. Frostallian also has a noct variant, Frostallian Noct.

3. Shadowbeak

With a ride sprint speed of 1200, Shadowbeak is a fairly useful mount. Its a mid-game mount that you can find towards the north of the map, in the sanctuary. Shadowbeak is L in size and can also be used as a both ground and flying mount. While riding Shadowbeak, your dark attacks will be enhanced as part of its partner skill.

4. Suzaku

Suzaku is one of the best mounts of Palworld because of its very high stamina that will let you stay afloat in the air for a much longer time. Suzaku has a ride sprint speed of 1100, but XL is size. It is a mid-game pal that you can mostly find in the desert areas towards the north of the map. Suzaku also has a water variant, Suzaku Aqua.

5. Kitsun

If you are looking for a pal to be with in every place (except in the air), then Kitsun is the one you should have. The small-sized fluffy dog-like pal has an aura around its neck that makes it look very unique during night time.

The best part of Kitsun is that it can go to every place, including the caves and dungeons, with you, where most of the mounts will not be useful. Other than that, Kitsun can be ridden in both hot and cold places without having any effects, which means, if you do not wear any heat-resistant or cold-resistant dresses but just ride Kitsun, you will still be fine. Kitsun can be unlocked mid-game and is mostly found around Free Pal Alliance Tower Entrance, a fast travel point during nighttime.

Palworld is now available on Xbox and PC (Steam) as an Early Access title and is currently unavailable for PlayStation 4 or PlayStation 5 as the platform does not support Early Access games.
