Hikaru Utada is gearing up to release their latest single, ‘Naniirodemonai Hana,’ digitally on 12 February. This upcoming track, a mid-tempo piano ballad, is also poised to feature on their much-anticipated inaugural greatest hits album SCIENCE FICTION, set for release later this year.
In celebration of the new track, Utada commented, ‘It’s been a long time since I wrote such a candid love song, I hope it reaches anyone who feels afraid to believe in something.’
The song serves as the theme for Japan’s new TV series ‘The Gift of Your Heart (Kimi ga Kokoro wo Kureta kara),’ and a part of the song was unveiled during today’s premiere of the first episode. Additionally, fans can check out a glimpse of ‘Naniirodemonai Hana’ in a special video of the show, unveiled on Fuji TV’s official YouTube channel
