Rebel Moon Star Praises Zack Snyder For Comprehensive Lore and Being Willing To Collaborate With The Actors

Rebel Moon Part One Review, Zack Snyder

We’re only a few more days away from the arrival of Rebel Moon Part One: A Child of Fire, which will kick off the two-part sci-fi epic masterminded by Zack Snyder. As you can imagine, there is already discourse on social media and certain review sites about how good or bad the film is. But the film’s stars are more than happy to praise the film and showcase just how brilliant Snyder was in constructing this universe. For example, Staz Nair was at the press event for the film, and ComicBook.com reported how Nair first witnessed how much Snyder put into the lore of this story:

“It first started very visually – I’m a visual learner, which is wonderful. I mean he [Zack Snyder]… has a kind of – not just a bible, but an 800-year lore, where he has visual kind of renderings of the whole movie. So it started off by showing me every world; what they were inspired by; how they felt, how they looked, and it’s amazing to see how similar his renderings are… similar to the world he’s created.”

To be fair, many creators across many mediums do this when trying to flesh out an elaborate universe that features multiple planets, races, etc. But what might surprise you is that when Snyder was done showing off his vision for Rebel Moon, he wanted to see if Nair had any thoughts or ideas:

“Then we sat down and started talking backstory. And what was really amazing was that someone like Zack, who has such a clear vision, who knows what he wants – who’s been working on this for three decades – still goes: ‘Okay, so what do you think?’ [laughs]. I remember the first time he said that I was like ‘Okay dad – I mean, Zack. What do I think? [feigns deep thought]. I was a little bit kind of nerve-racking! But he was very open, very collaborative… and that was a really freeing thing.”

That’s not something you hear every day, especially since directors can be notorious for how they want “their vision and their vision alone” to be put on screen. But with Snyder? He wants everyone to feel involved.

Rebel Moon Part One: A Child of Fire arrives via Netflix on November 22nd.
