Horizon Forbidden West heads to PC Early 2024

By Keith MitchellSeptember 27, 2023
Horizon Forbidden West coming to PC

Ever since PlayStation announced it would bring its games to the PC, they’ve been on point, and the PC has seen a number of PS4 and PS5 games arriving on the platform. Now, we can add another game to the list, that being Horizon Forbidden West: Complete Edition.

Yep, we’re getting even more PS5 games on PC, and I don’t want to say I called it, but I did.

Horizon Forbidden West coming to PC

Revealed as an update for the PS5, Horizon Forbidden West: Complete Edition via a new trailer, and the end was a short mention that the game would arrive on the PC in early 2024. The game will be available on Steam and the Epic Games Store and is already available on the wishlist on both storefronts.

With this PlayStation, it has been confirmed that yet another PlayStation 5 will be playable on the PC in early 2024. However, while I’m happy about the news, I’m hoping that this port will be handled better than Horizon Zero Dawn was handled. When that was released, it was done so in a very unoptimized state, and it took Guerilla Games up to a year to get the game in a playable state that was accepted by the PC gaming community. This can not happen again with Horizon Forbidden West. However, with Nixxes being acquired by PlayStation, I don’t see that happening.

There also hasn’t been any mention as to what upgrades will accompany the PC port. Things such as ultrawide monitor, Nvidia’s DLSS, or AMD’s FSR 2 support, but it’s likely too early for that.

Here’s what comes with Horizon Forbidden West: Complete Edition:

  • Horizon Forbidden West for PS5
  • Burning Shores DLC for PS5
  • Digital soundtrack
  • Digital art book
  • Horizon Zero Dawn Vol. 1: The Sunhawk digital comic book*
  • In-game items:
    • Extras in Photo Mode (special pose and face paint)
  • In-game items unlocked via story progression:
    • Carja Behemoth Elite outfit ·Carja Behemoth Short Bow
    • Nora Thunder Elite outfit
    • Nora Thunder Sling
    • Apex Clawstrider Machine Strike piece
    • Resources pack

Horizon Forbidden West: Complete Edition will also be available for the PS5 on October  6th, 2023.
