Dbrand Spider-Man 2 Cover Plates Put the Official Ones to Shame

By Keith MitchellSeptember 8, 2023

When it comes to Dbrand, we all know they produce some of the best skins out there for various devices. Hands down, there’s no debate. It also loves trolling PlayStation. Just do a Google on how much these companies bump heads. But now, I think the war between these two has escalated all over PlayStation’s recent round of Spider-Man 2 cover plates. You know Dbrand is going to one-up them; it’s like a goal for them, and with Dbrand’s latest PS5 cover plates called the “Arachnoplates,” consider this the one-up.

As usual, Dbrand’s trolling is on point. This is a jab at PlayStation for not producing enough of the PS5 Spider-Man 2 cover plates, which went out of stock just as soon as they went up for sale. There’s nowhere to purchase this anymore, not on PlayStation’s website, Amazon, Best Buy, or Gamestop. Heck, they are going for hundreds of dollars on eBay right now. So once again, Drband steps in to play the savior.

The [POPULAR VIDEO GAME CONSOLE] maker [MEGACORP] failed to produce enough stock of their [LICENSED VIDEO GAME] side panels.

Thanks for dropping the ball, you [SERIES OF EXPLETIVES].

Dbrand’s Darkplates have been a hit, regardless of what PlayStation likes, and now, with the Arachnoplates, these things are going to sell out. They look way better than the official PlayStation 5 Spider-Man cover plates. So much so that I’m already looking to cancel my pre-order because I’m dropping my cash down on these instead. The Arachnoplates are priced at $65 for the disc and disc-less versions of the PS5, with an optional middle skin that costs $20. There’s even a red light strip to complete it all, but perhaps that’s too much?

Time will tell if PlayStation responds to this, and likely citing that this will take away sales from its own Spider-Man 2 cover plates. That would be interesting, considering you can’t purchase them anywhere outside of eBay.

Damn, these do put the official Spider-Man 2 cover plates to shame. This is what you should have done, PlayStation.
