Building Houses In The Sims 5 Will Be A Lot Easier

By Faith LaneMarch 6, 2023

If you’ve played The Sims for any amount of time, it isn’t as easy as one might think to build a house. Simply adding rooms to a pre-built house is one thing, but building one from scratch is a whole other thing. With fans excited for the new Sims 5 project, which isn’t actually going to be called The Sims 5, it seems a new system will make creating houses even easier…finally!

The Sims 5 is currently in development, while The Sims 4 is still getting updates and expansion packs. For example, the new infant update is just a little ways away on March 14, with a new expansion pack called Growing Together coming shortly after. Thus, there is so much to keep us busy until the fifth game. EA has a system in store for the new game that will let players create the desired dimensions of their Sims house, and then based on a layout of rooms, it will be created. The AI will create the floor plan and various different-sized rooms to decorate. Not only that, but it will also furnish the rooms approximately to what each room needs. You will be able to assign a theme to the items so that way the AI will be able to know how to create the rooms if you are going for a modern or more traditional theme for your home. If you are a Sims player who doesn’t use cheats, you don’t have to stress about the AI taking all your money to design the home, either. You will be able to set a budget for it to use.

With the Sims 5 working this way, it will benefit the overall experience of the game for those who don’t like building or those who don’t feel all that good at it – like me. Or, if you’d rather spend more time decorating, just have the AI build the house plan.

These are not the only things to look forward to in The Sims 5 (aka Project Rene). The game will have multiplayer and cross-platform play. Imagine how fun that will be. Having a Sims family with your best friend by your side to make choices with you. Or just add more to the chaos of ideas of what could happen in your Sims story. The current game, The Sims 4, is already known for having endless possibilities, but with the fifth game on the horizon, it will be even true.
