E3 2023: Everything We Know So Far

By Keith MitchellNovember 3, 2022
E3 2023 750x422

You’ve probably heard the news that as of 2023, E3 will be making a comeback in a major way, as the popular electronic and gaming show has partnered with Reedpop. Reedpop, the organizer of events such as PAX East, PAX East, New York Comic Con, and a few others, is helming E3 2023, and will use its considerable knowledge of hosting events, in an attempt to bring E3 back to its former glory. As such, E3 2023 will be an onsite event, and the E3 2023 dates are from June 11 to June 16, 2023, and will be the first onsite event since 2019. This was announced in July 2022.

However, things will be a bit different. Traditionally, E3 was strictly only for businesses and media. During the past few years, that event started to allow the public into the event, which did end up causing some headaches for everyone attending the event. Due to those frustrations from just about everyone, a few changes have been implemented for E3 2023.

Here’s how E3 2023 will work going forward

E3 2023 will take place over several days, with those days being split up into segments.

  • Sunday, June 11 to Monday, June 12, will be dedicated to digital events. These will be those events from Microsoft, Ubisoft, and various other companies conducting live streams.
  • Tuesday, June 13 to Thursday, June 14, will be E3 Business Days, reserved for industry professionals and the media. This will be for all major companies, PR, influencers, content creators, and media to attend the event. If you’re a content creator or media, the registration for E3 2023 is live, and can be found here.
  • Thursday, June 15, and Friday, June 16, will be E3 Gamer Days, when the event is open to the public. E3 2023 Tickets for this portion will go on sale later in the first quarter of 2023.

The event will still be hosted at the Los Angeles Convention Center, which has also been renovated and hopefully will be able to accommodate the event. The last time I was there, several sections were closed down.

Who will be attending E3 2023?

So far, it’s too soon to tell, and nothing has been announced. Check back closer to the event to find out more.

What about COVID-19 restrictions?

Nothing has been mentioned regarding possible COVID-19 restrictions as of yet. However, seeing how Reedpop had already placed COVID-19 restrictions for its previous events and mentioned updated COVID-19 precautions for PAX East 2023, it’s safe to assume they’ll do the same for E3 2023.
