The Game Awards Reveal Their Nominees For Game of the Year

By Todd BlackNovember 14, 2022
The Game Awards

The Game Awards may have struggled over the years to “find its format,” but it’s now become the predominant game awards show that everyone tunes into just in case there’s a big game announcement. Plus, fans want to see who comes out of the show as the biggest award winners.  This year has been stacked with big games and impactful titles, so the question was, who would be nominated for Game of the Year?

You can find the answers in the tweet below, and it’s not exactly the “selection” you’d expect in some ways:

Before you wonder why they were put in that order, it’s alphabetical. Plus, as you can see, there’s a wide swath of titles covering the “expected” titles like God of War Ragnarok, Horizon Forbidden West, and Elden Ring, but also having the not-so-expected titles like A Plague Tale: Requiem, Stray, and Xenoblade Chronicles 3.

You can vote now for The Game Awards and try to make your pick win, good luck to you all!

ed – I’m rooting for Elden Ring, in EVERYTHING!
