Atomic Heart Boss Fight Gameplay Summons Up ‘The Incredibles’ Vibes

Atomic Heart gameplay

Over the weekend, IGN released a new “exclusive” gameplay footage from the upcoming title, Atomic Heart. In this video, we get to see a new boss fight taking place, but it seems very familiar. It’s as if the developers of the title were watching Disney and Pixar’s ‘Incredibles’ and thought that the villain that was destroying the city would make a good boss for Atomic Heart. So, if you ever loved that scene, there’s one more reason to check out Atomic Heart — and it’s doing everything that the Incredibles counterpart was doing.

In this video, we get to see 10 minutes of gameplay as the player attempts to take down this oddly familiar boss as it attempts to flatten them. Which doesn’t seem to be an easy task as the boss in question is extremely fast, agile, and does some hefty damage.

Atomic Heart takes place in an alternate reality at the height of the Soviet Union’s power, Atomic Heart features a protagonist named agent P-3, who is investigating a top-secret facility titled 3826. While we don’t know much about the story beyond that, we do know that P-3 is sent there to investigate what went wrong, and why all contact with the members of the facility has been lost. This is one of the games I’m looking forward to playing in 2023. The alternate history and the funny Soviet designs has my attention, and the campaign, from what I know about it, sounds fun.

Atomic Heart is set for a February 23rd, 2023, release date on the PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and PC.
