Warhammer 40,000: Darktide Technical Test Taking Place this Week

Warhammer 40,000: Darktide, the upcoming first-person shooter, based in the Warhammer 40,000 universe for the Xbox Series X|S, and PC, is getting a technical test this week.

Starting August 12th, 2022, at 9 AM PT / 12:00 PM ET, Fatshark will host a Warhammer 40,000 Darktide and is taking sign-ups. This technical test aims to see just how well the infrastructure that will run the game will handle the load. We’ve all seen games that have launched but didn’t have the technical chops needed to keep the game running or even allow players to sign in.

The first Closed Technical Test is happening August 12th! So look alive Rejects, and sign up for a chance to play!

To sign up, head over to this link and provide your email address. Once you do, you’ll get an email asking for more information regarding your platform of choice and hardware specifications if you apply for the PC technical test. Be sure to check your spam mail if you don’t receive an invite.

It’s worth mentioning that if you get accepted, you will not be able to stream, record, or talk about the technical test. This test isn’t an indication of the finished product, and there will likely be bugs and glitches that won’t be present in the completed game.

Warhammer 40,000: Darktide is similar to Fatshark’s other Warhammer 40,000 title, Vermintide 2. The game will pit four players (or ai-controlled teammates) against waves of enemies.  Players will be able to customize their class, appearance, gender, and from four classes consisting of a Veteran, Zealot, Ogryn, and Psyker.

Warhammer 40,000: Darktide has a release date of November 30th, 2022, for the Xbox Series X|S, and PC.
