Nintendo To Create ‘Nintendo Pictures’?

By Todd BlackJuly 14, 2022
Nintendo

Nintendo is one of the biggest companies out there in the world, even if you’re not a video gamer, you know their products and IP by name like with Mario, Zelda, Pokemon, and so on. Over the course off the last several years, Nintendo has been trying to expand their brand in meaningful ways, and a new acquisition is going to help with that by creating “Nintendo Pictures”.

This happened when Nintendo purchased the group Dynamo Productions, who have been helpers on both video games and animated properties like movies and shows. In fact, they’ve worked with Studio Ghibli, as well as did the Pikmin shorts.

Why should we be excited about this? Simply put, it means that Nintendo is going to expand the media that it’s currently trying to break into like movies and TV shows. The deal and name change to Nintendo Pictures won’t happen until the deal is finalized later this year, but we can still imagine what they might make!

Hint: Make a Super Smash Bros anime!!!

Nintendo has just announced it's purchased ANOTHER company: CG production house Dynamo Productions, who assisted with Metroid: Other M, the Pikmin Shorts, and more!https://t.co/a5XXxtnku7 pic.twitter.com/TrpX3YYn77
