Award-Winning Singer Ayaka Is Releasing Her Newest Single, “Come Back To Me”

By Josh PiedraMay 18, 2022

Japan-born and award-winning singer-songwriter, Ayaka (Mossan), is set to release her newest single, titled “Come Back To Me” out on June 17th. This pop single comes after the release of her single, “Not Ready” earlier this year.

“Come Back To Me” tells the story of Ayaka and her father, who passed suddenly when Ayaka was 10 years old. She describes the memories they had together, with portions of the song told in Japanese. Though Ayaka remembers in her mind what he did with her, she describes the feelings as mixed. To commemorate the time they spent together, Ayaka put together “Come Back To Me” with plans to create a vinyl for the single in the future, as her father was a fan of vinyl himself.

The R&B-laced tune has a soft tone that is carried by Ayaka’s heartfelt lyrics, with twinkly pop sounds and a steady beat accenting a bass guitar. Ayaka creates R&B and pop music, all with a relaxed vibe that combines into the overall sound of Ayaka. She plans to visit Japan for an upcoming performance at Kyobashi Seven Days, live streaming at the venue — and create more music throughout the year, with vinyl in the works and performances in her hometown of Osaka, Japan.
