PlayStation State of Play Happening on March 9th

By Scott AdamsMarch 8, 2022
PlayStation State of Play March 9th

For the past month, rumors were discussing a new State of Play almost instantly after the last one happened that focused on Gran Turismo 7. Those waiting for news would be pleasantly surprised as PlayStation’s Twitter revealed a new State of play happening tomorrow March, 9th 2022.

State of Play returns Wednesday, March 9.

Tune in at 10 PM GMT for about 20 minutes of PS4 & PS5 first looks and updates, with a special focus on games coming from our Japan publishers. Full details: https://t.co/v3uXDcIgo3 pic.twitter.com/ZfI517DyvX

— PlayStation UK (@PlayStationUK) March 8, 2022

The tweet mentions that the focus will be on publishers from Japan. When you click on the article however it states

“The show is clocking in around 20 minutes, give or take, with a special focus on highlighting great games coming from some of our beloved Japanese publishers, though we’ll have a few updates from other developers located around the world, too.”

What does this mean? We should be looking out for Japanese publishers but it also seems to have other worldwide developer updates as well. Are we going to see more from Square Enix, Bandai Namco or Capcom? Possible! We might even finally get some new information on Final Fantasy 16. We’ll just have to wait until March 9th, 2022 at  2 PM PST/5 PM EST to find out.
