Where to Find A Sacramental Bud In Elden Ring

By Keith MitchellMarch 8, 2022
Elden Ring - Sacramental Bud

During your adventures in Elden Ring, you’ll eventually find yourself in Caelid, an essential part of the story and game. However, Caelid has a very nasty feature — Scarlet Rot. This is a status that will slowly affect you the longer you stand in it and once it takes hold, it will slowly steal your health. To combat this, you’ll need to craft an item that will remove the effect, Preserving Boluses. To do that, you’ll need a Sacramental Bud.

Let’s find a few!

Elden Ring - Preserving Boluses

Where to Find A Sacramental Bud

The Sacramental Bud happens to grow in a number of locations. However, seeing how you’ll be in Caelid, it makes sense to gather it from there. To locate an abundant amount of Sacramental Bud, you’ll want to make your way to the Church of Plague in Caelid.

Once there, you’ll find anywhere from 7-8 Sacramental Buds to acquire. You can miss them, as they have red bubs growing on the smaller trees that could be in the Charlie Brown Christmas special.

However, once you’ve picked the area clean, it takes a good while for them to respawn. So, go questing for a bit and come back later when it is ripe for picking again.

You’ll need lots of these, as bosses and areas later in the game, will also infect Scarlet Rot onto you. So, the more you have, the better your chances of victory are. That is unless you have the incantation, “Flame, Cleanse Me,” which also rids you of Scarlet Rot.

Elden Ring is currently available on PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and PC.
