By William "Shadowz" KokFebruary 27, 2022
Pokemon Scarlet and Violet

In the finale of today’s Pokemon Presents presentation, the Pokemon company has revealed the 9th generation game for Pokemon. It will be in two versions of Pokémon Scarlet and Pokémon Violet.

On the official site for  Pokémon Scarlet & Violet, the newest adventure and lands will be the next evolution of the series. In which the lands are completely open. To explore freely and no locks on which areas you wish to travel and explore.

Various towns blend seamlessly into the wilderness with no borders. You’ll be able to see the Pokémon of this region in the skies, in the seas, in the forests, on the streets—all over! You’ll be able to experience the true joy of the Pokémon series—battling against wild Pokémon in order to catch them—now in an open-world game that players of any age can enjoy.

We also get our first look at the newest starter Pokémon for this game. The Leafy Cat Sprigatito. The Fire Croc Fuecoco, and the Water Duckling Quaxly. Who will you pick?

We also see how our player character will appear as. Note that there will be different outfits depending on the version of the game you play. Scarlet versions will be sporting a red-orange color outfit, while the violet version keeps the name with the violet hue on its outfit.

For Pokémon Scarlet and Pokémon Violet, we will be heading to the region of Spain and Italy. If the names of the starter Pokémon didn’t already give it away.

Pokémon Scarlet and Pokémon Violet are set to release sometime in late 2022 for Nintendo Switch.
