Elden Ring Gesture Shenanigans, Massive Digital Soundtrack Info

Elden Ring is just a week away, and by now, everyone is waiting to dive in. Today, the Japanese gaming magazine, Famitsu, has released some new information during the Famitsu Dengeki Presents “Elden Ring” General LIVE event. Some of the info could be considered spoilers, so I won’t go into details about everything that was mentioned.

If you’d like to see the stream in its entity, you can do so below.

However, I will speak about the info regarding a specific gesture. In a move that I deem both a “WTF” moment and downright silly, if you didn’t preorder Elden Ring, you’ll miss out on one of the game’s gestures called the”Ring”. This gesture is automatically awarded to players who preorder the game, and I was wondering why I received this gesture when I started with our review copy. Yes, we are reviewing Elden Ring, but we can’t talk about anything, so don’t ask.

Getting back to the Ring gesture — I really hope there isn’t an achievement or trophy that requires this. Though, on the flip side, players who didn’t preorder the game can still get it. All they have to do is successfully co-op with someone who does have it. Doing so will award them with the gesture. Still, it would have been better if everyone was just given the gesture, instead of this.

The live stream also mentioned that both the Elden Ring Collector’s Edition and Premium Collector’s Edition’s soundtrack features 67 songs. For those who’ve played the prior Fromsoftware games, this makes Elden Ring’s official soundtrack the largest to date. I believe that out of all of the Dark Souls, Demon’s Souls, Bloodborne, and Sekiro titles, Dark Souls 2 had the most tracks before this.

It’s just one more week, fellow Fromsoftware fans, and sooner than you know, you’ll be diving into the world of Elden Ring. I’ll be waiting for you! Look forward to our Elden Ring review, next week.

Elden Ring releases on February 25, 2022, for PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and PC.
