Triangle Strategy Teases The Dilemma of Frederica Aesfrost

By Todd BlackJanuary 25, 2022
Triangle Strategy

There are plenty of video games that tease that “your choices matter” and they do in a slight way, or even a big way in terms of alternate endings. However, for Square Enix’s upcoming tactics-based RPG Triangle Strategy for the Nintendo Switch, the choices you make will be much more than you realize, or expect. Because as shown in the first major character trailer, these choices will have major ramifications for the story that comes out. And now, a second character trailer for the game has arrived, and this time around we see the struggles of one of the leading ladies of the game: Federica Aesfrost.

If you recall the demo, Federica is the betrothed to the games’ main character, and is a part of the house that starts the war that changes everything in the game. She is loyal to her betrothed, but her motivations and desires run much deeper, including to the people of which her mother was born from.

And as Triangle Strategy’s narrator warns, your choices will affect not just her, but her people. For in one part of the game, you’ll gain an ally that could ensure the safety of Serenoa’s homeland. But it’ll come at the cost…of the freedom of Federica’s people. Watch the trailer below, and see what path you will choose when the game arrives on March 4th.
