‘Moon Knight’ Trailer Shows Oscar Isaac Losing Himself to Chaos

By Sara Roncero-MenendezJanuary 17, 2022
Moon Knight Season 1 Review

Marvel has proven that they’re just as good at television as they are at movies, which is why it shouldn’t be surprising how badass the new Moon Knight trailer is.

Moon Knight is a six-episode series that follows Steven, played by Oscar Isaac, a mild-mannered gift shop employee who appears to have trouble distinguishing dreams from reality. Despite his best efforts to stay awake, he finds himself in strange situations that may or may not be all in his head. But in actuality, he’s ex-Marine Marc Spector, who has dissociative identity disorder, who also happens to be the conduit for the Egyptian moon god Khonshu.

In the trailer, besides seeing the intense lengths Steven/Marc go through to stay sane, we also meet Ethan Hawke as Arthur Harrow, a cult leaser who will likely be the show’s main antagonist. He seems to want Marc to “embrace the chaos” and become Moon Knight, but to what end we don’t yet know. So far, the show looks like it has great action and a killer suit for our hero.

The show was announced alongside adaptations of Ms. Marvel and She-Hulk, which hopefully means we will be getting their premiere dates and some more footage for them as well.

Moon Knight premieres on Disney+ on March 30.

A reporter by trade, Sara is a lover of horror, sci-fi, and all things pop culture. From indies to classics to even the strangest schlock, all movies and TV shows are fair game. She believes Batman is the most fascinating superhero, and that Silent Hill is one of the best horror franchises ever made (as long as you don't count the movies). Fun Fact: The only movie Sara will not rewatch is The Room -- once was more than enough.
