‘Final Fantasy VII Remake Intergrade’ Will Arrive on PC Soon

Though Part 2 of Final Fantasy VII Remake is still likely years away, the extended chapter Final Fantasy VII Remake Intergrade will soon come to PC. Square Enix revealed the news with a new trailer during The Game Awards. The Epic Games Store will host the game, which players can download later this week on Thursday, December 16th.

Final Fantasy VII Remake Intergrade includes both the base game of the remake, telling the story of Cloud and Avalanche up until their escape from Midgar, as well as the expansion focusing on Yuffi Kisaragi. In our review of Final Fantasy VII Remake, we praised the game for its combat, world-building, and story. The base game originally debuted on the PlayStation 4 in April 2020, with the Intergrade expansion arriving for PS5 in June of this year. The latter had a PlayStation exclusivity deal set for six months. Entering December, the deal has come to an end, which explains the game’s upcoming arrival on PC.

Yoshinori Kitase, the producer of Final Fantasy VII Remake, elaborated on the decision to bring the game to the Epic Games Store, saying, “I get the impression that people who use the Epic Games Store are some of the most cutting-edge and enthusiastic players, even amongst PC gamers. FINAL FANTASY VII REMAKE is a game which has plenty of depth to live up to the expectations of such gamers, so I hope they look forward to playing it!”

Not only will Final Fantasy VII Remake Intergrade bring its next-gen visuals to PC, but it will also bring next-gen prices. The game will arrive on the Epic Games Store with its same PS5 price tag of $69.99.
