Catching up with Gen:Lock Writer Evan Narcisse on Season 2 and Beyond

By Todd BlackNovember 11, 2021

Rooster Teeth is a company that sets a tone in terms of making quality internet programming in the long-form format. They were the ones behind Red Vs. Blue (which is getting close to season 19!), they brought in Death Battle (which we love here on Outerhaven) to help bolster their ranks, and then they made RWBY which became a worldwide phenomenon. But they didn’t stop there as they went on to create the Sci-Fi title, Gen:Lock alongside Outlier Society, which after a long wait came to HBO Max for its second season!

To celebrate, I had an in-depth interview with one of the writers of the series, Evan Narcisse, to talk about what fans can expect from Gen:Lock Season 2. From how Season 1 flows into Season 2, to the types of stories that he and the other writers wanted to explore in this fascinating world, to character arcs, making the rules of the mechs and their main character Chase, and more! If you’re a fan of the series, you’ll want to check out this interview!

Also, in case you haven’t seen it yet, check out the trailer for Gen:Lock Season 2, the first two episodes of which are available on HBO Max right now! New episodes come out EVERY THURSDAY!
