Spider-Man and a new Raid is being added to Marvel’s Avengers later this month

By Keith MitchellNovember 4, 2021
Marvel's Avengers Spider-Man on PlayStation

While Marvel’s Avengers isn’t too to well, at least it’s good to know that Spider-Man, after all these months, is finally heading to the game. Just announced today, Spider-Man will make his debut in Marvel’s Avengers, but only for the PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5.  He’ll be available as a free character on November 30, 2021.

Spider-Man was perhaps the biggest reason why a number of people picked up Marvel’s Avengers for the PlayStation platform. Yet there was never any ETA on when the popular Web-head would be released. Now that we have a release date for him, will he help change the disaster that the game has been experiencing, around?

Here’s a summary of what to expect for Spider-Man’s entry into the game:

The legendary web slinger Spider-Man will come exclusively to PlayStation players in the November 30th update along with the Spider-Man: With Great Power Hero Event. Spider-Man’s high-flying acrobatics bring an entirely new way to experience the game either solo or with friends, and his unique movement and combat abilities are sure to be a great addition to any Strike Team taking on missions in the Avengers Initiative.

Players will experience Spider-Man’s story through unlockable challenges woven throughout the Avengers Initiative. Peter Parker learns of a deadly new threat and must partner with the Avengers to stop AIM from acquiring technology that could make their synthoid army unstoppable. Insistent on keeping his identity hidden, Parker forms a tentative friendship with Ms. Marvel and Black Widow and must struggle with the new dynamics of working with a team. Will he join up full time with the Avengers, or stay independent in his fight against AIM?

That’s not all, as a new raid that will pit players against the villain known as Klaw, who was added in the War for Wakanda DLC, is also being added. Marvel’s Avengers power cap is also being bumped to 175, and gear will also see a power boast as well.

Marvel’s Avengers is available for the PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and PC. However, if you want access to Spider-Man, you’ll have to play on the PlayStation platforms.
